Read more. . . ]]> Orla Guerin the Correspondent I worked with for nearly a year in Africa has been awarded the prestigious David Bloom award for our piece from Kibati Refugee Camp in Goma, Eastern Congo. The award was given at the Annual TV and Radio Correspondents Dinner in Washington with President Barrack Obama in attendance.

Although I’m disappointed not to have been mentioned by the award panel it’s still a great testament to the work we did in very trying circumstances.
