So after the buzz and excitement that surrounded my first short feature “At home with the Parkinson’s” gradually evaporating I decided to follow up with an equally gripping sequel. “Still at home with the Parkinson’s” was shot while my lovely wife Kutlwano tried to make Dinner on a quiet sunday afternoon. It was shot mainly with my GoPro Hero HD Camera with extra footage from my 5D Mark II. I treated the pictures with the Bistrocity effect on Magic Bullet Quicklooks. Enjoy!

Converting your footage from Canon 5d mark II to DVPAL

When working for the BBC all of our News footage is still recorded and transmitted in DV PAL. At times I am given footage shot by a Freelance Cameraman who records in XDCAM EX 1080i or something similar, I myself also own a Canon 5D mark II and a GO PRO HD Camera both of which record HD footage. If I want to edit them into a PAL DV Timeline on Final Cut Pro that it can be a problem. To make life easier I have recorded what I hope will be the first of many Tutorials. At home with the Parkinson's: First test of my 5D mark 2

A very short film depicting the wildness that transpires at my apartment of an evening. . .Shot basically to test the 5D mark 2 in low(ish) light and to help ease my boredom. . .

It was shot using a 24-105mm L series lens at F.4 and using a combination of ISO’s upto 4000. I was fairly pleased though I need a faster lens to test the camera. Enjoy!
