Trekking to Machu Pichu: October, 2012.

My brother and I have just returned from two weeks together trekking in Peru and visiting the exceptionally beautiful World Heritage site of Machu Pichu. We travelled by bus from Lima to Cusco (22 hrs) and then walked for 60km along the Salkantay trail, reaching an altitude of 4600m. I made copious notes while on the trip but I wanted to make my photographs the focus of this blog post. I hope you enjoy them, if you have any questions or would like to share your own travel tales from Peru then please feel free to add a comment. I must say that I loved the country and found the people very welcoming, the food surprisingly good and the views sublime.
